Women’s Day Celebration at SHMA

Women have always played a vital role in the progress and development of societies across the globe. Despite this, their skills and contributions have often gone unnoticed. Women’s day is celebrated to honor women for their achievements and to recognize their importance in society. It is also a day to raise awareness about the issues faced by women and to promote gender equality.

The first-ever women’s day was held on 19th March 1911 in Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland. More than one million women and men participated in the protests and rallies that day. The United Nations General Assembly declared 8th March International Women’s Day in 1975.

Since then, International Women’s Day has been celebrated annually worldwide. It is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women and to raise awareness about the challenges they still face. Various events and activities are organized on this day to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment.

It is important for businesses to focus on gender equality in the workplace. This not only creates a more diverse and inclusive environment, but also helps to improve productivity and employee morale. Additionally, studies have shown that companies with gender-diverse workplaces are more successful than those without.

The women of SHMA gathered for a special lunch at the Great Wall restaurant to celebrate Women’s Day. It was a great opportunity for the ladies to bond with one another over good food and conversation. The management team presented each woman with a special gift, and there was a lot of laughter and sharing of thoughts and ideas. It was a wonderful day celebrating the many achievements of women, and the support they give to one another.

Gender equality is not only the right thing to do, but it also makes good business sense. Companies that embrace diversity and inclusion are more likely to be successful in today’s global economy.
